I think young people are so caught up wth speaking habits and crutch words, they don't realize what they are saying. It's not always about profanity. "On the ground", "clearly", "having said that", "awesome", multiple "like"s are some of the handicap words and phrases we hear too often.

I gagged the last time I ate their chicken. It was like eating a bucket of salt. A few years later, the franchise closed. It was pretty bad. Located in a busy area, other fast food restaurants have done well. This happened maybe ten years ago.

A little history: Jacob Factor, known as "Jake the Barber", was a gangster back in the Eliot Ness, Al Capone days. Jake was Max Factor's brother. The Factor brothers started life as barbers in Los Angeles. Max went legit, Jake went into illegal gambling. They both became wealthy.

I wish they described the type of can. I'm assuming that it's of the pull-tab kind. I never liked that kind of can. Pouches can be punctured with pinholes that cannot be seen, by the way.

All navy personnel are rated. Their rate is their job, like gunner's mate. electronics technician, etc. Many, like recruiters, flight engineers and SEAL's work out of their rate and receive additional pay for their added specialty.
